Filmmaker-actor Pooja Bhatt She recently shared an interesting story about her grandmother, Betty Bertha Bright. He described her as a strong woman with a funny and unique way of looking at things. In a recent conversation, pooja she talked about how her grandmother, who had Armenian and English/Irish roots, went through a tough time but still managed to stay witty and funny about it.
Pooja Bhatt on her grandmother’s leg amputation and funeral
On Cyrus Broacha’s podcast, Pooja described her grandmother as “tough as nails.” She shared that her grandmother was diagnosed with diabetes later in life, which eventually led to her leg being amputated. After the surgery, his grandmother insisted that a funeral be held for the amputated leg and the whole family had to be present at the peculiar ceremony.

The actress further said, “We had to go to St. Andrew’s Church while she was there while her leg was being buried. We were all like, ‘What is this?’ This is a path to the last day.’ I was actually looking at everybody and taking notes. It’s black…totally black humor. I was watching everyone’s expressions to see how they were acting and who was showing up and who wasn’t. A lot of us were looking at each other like, ‘What the hell are we doing here?'”
