AIIMS New Delhi has announced the recruitment results for 460 posts through secure blockchain technology and ensuring transparency.

New Delhi: The All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi, has announced the results of the selection process for more than 460 vacancies in more than 50 schools. The appointment covers posts ranging from Assistant Professor to Professor at AIIMS New Delhi and AIIMS-Central Armed Police Forces Institute of Medical Science (CAPFIMS) campus at Maidan Garhi, New Delhi.The recruitment process took place over six months and incorporated digital blockchain technology to protect privacy and maintain transparency throughout the selection process. According to AIIMS, the technology-driven system helped prepare the final merit list with minimal manual intervention and facilitated timely declaration of results.Recruiting took hundreds of schools without jobsThe recruitment drive included 265 posts at AIIMS New Delhi and 199 posts at AIIMS-CAPFIMS campus. More than 3,200 applicants applied for these positions who took courses with more than 50 medical professionals.These activities included the appointment of several faculties, from Assistant Professors to Professors. This is one of the biggest recruitment drives the organization has undertaken in recent years, covering teaching and health care.Blockchain Technology used for selectionAIIMS said that digital blockchain technology has been incorporated in the recruitment process to ensure privacy and transparency. As part of the system, candidates’ marks were digitally locked using a one-time password to protect the integrity of the assessment records.The agency said the final qualifying list was created by software that uses protected characters in combination with previously defined algorithms. There is no human intervention in the preparation of the merit list, except when relationships need to be resolved. The automated system also helped in quick announcement of the selection results.Faculty appointments are expected to strengthen institutional capacityAccording to AIIMS, the recruitment is expected to improve the availability of teachers in the participating institutions. The appointment will support academic departments at AIIMS New Delhi and the AIIMS-CAPFIMS campus.The organization said that the addition of new faculty members is expected to strengthen patient care, teaching and research activities in all institutions. After finalizing the recruitment process and announcing the results, the nominees will fill the long-term positions at the various schools, and increase the academic and medical staff at both schools.
