The singer, who made his Bollywood musical debut with Bobby Deol’s ‘Bandar’ earlier this year, recently shared how he hid the song and news from one of the biggest stars in the industry. Ayaan, who made his playback debut with ‘C’mon Baby’ in ‘Bandar’, recently revealed that he had earlier kept the news of his ‘Salman Mamu’ under wraps until the announcement and release of the songs. While talking to Hindustan Times, the singer revealed that he was told to keep the song a secret and that Nikhil Dwivedi, who co-produced the song, had wanted to capture the ‘Tubelight’ actor’s honest reaction.Providing more context, he shared, “I wasn’t actually allowed to tell Salman Mamu that I was doing this song for Uncle Bobby’s film Bandar. Nikhil (Dwivedi, co-producer) swore me to secrecy and said, ‘When this song happens, then I’ll play it to your Mamu and tell him I’ve discovered a new voice?’Agni then shared that when she asked about her Mamu’s reaction to her song, she was told, “She (Salman Khan) liked it and when she met me later she told me that I did a good job and she should follow me.”In another interview with NDTV a few weeks ago, Agni had also shared what kind of advice his uncle gave him for his debut. She shared that the actor had simply told her to “Sing your heart out and don’t care what anyone thinks.”

The singer, who had released 3 singles before his streaming debut, also revealed that acting may also be on the cards for him in the future. The star shared that from the beginning, he had been heavily influenced by the Bollywood industry and had always wanted to become an actor when he grew up. “I went to college to do acting and world theater,” she added, however, sharing that she slowly realized she liked the stage aspect of it all.He mentioned, “I realized that I just liked acting in general. At the same time I started writing. The poems became spoken word, which became music, and I found a very special connection with music. I felt like I could express the things I wanted through my writing, and I was inspired by music because it helped me relate to the things I was going through and overcome them. This really had an impact on me.“On whether a Bollywood debut as an actor is on the cards or not, Agni shared, “Maybe Bollywood sometime in the future; it’s definitely not off the agenda because I love acting. But right now the focus is on music.”
