Ranveer Singh‘Pralay’, the much talked about zombie thriller, directed by the filmmaker Jai Mehtanow it’s finally getting underway after months of speculation about his involvement in the project. After the success of ‘Dhurandhar’, the actor will begin shooting the big-budget survival drama in September 2026, with a major part of the shoot planned in Australia.

According to Pinkvilla, Ranveer has already started preparing for the film and is deeply involved in its process. It will start shooting for Jai Mehta’s direction in the second half of 2026. A major part of the film will be shot in Australia and the preparation has already started. Given the scale and genre, the film requires extensive physical and emotional preparation.

With a budget of Rs 300 crore, ‘Pralay’ will become the costliest independent film of Ranveer Singh’s career. Although Jai Mehta, son of the filmmaker Hansal Mehtais making his directorial debut, the actor is said to have backed the project based on his belief in the script and the young filmmaker’s vision.
