Veteran Tamil filmmaker and actor K Bhagyaraj passed away on Saturday after suffering a cardiac arrest. He was 73 years old. A few days before his death, Bhagyaraj had made what would be his last public appearance at the wedding of Khushbu Sundar and Sundar C’s daughter Avantika in Goa. Videos of the ceremony have now surfaced on social media, giving fans a glimpse of the late filmmaker at the star-studded celebration.A widely shared clip shows Bhagyaraj warmly greeting the Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi. The two exchanged smiles, shook hands and chatted briefly inside the wedding venue.Following the news of Bhagyaraj’s demise, Khushbu paid tribute to the filmmaker on Instagram by sharing a photograph of her along with a heartfelt message.“Rest in peace sir. My fun times with you will be etched in my memory forever. I will miss you.”The wedding itself was attended by several prominent names from the Indian film industry. Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna attended the celebrations with their wives, while Jackie Shroff, Anil Kapoor i Trisha Krishnan were also among the guests.However, one of Khushbu’s posts from the wedding later drew criticism online. She shared a candid photo with her husband, Sundar C, in which the couple smiled at each other as they celebrated their daughter’s special day. Some social media users questioned the timing of the post after Bhagyaraj’s death.One user commented, “Is this post really necessary now? When the state is mourning the loss of Bhagyaraj sir.”Khushbu did not hold back in her answer. Defending her decision to celebrate her daughter’s wedding despite the tragic loss, she replied: “Then why are you following me?? Just to criticize?? My daughter got married not even 48 hours ago. And who knows Poornima better? you or me?? If it’s hard for you, unfollow me. I’m better off without people like you. I have every right to be happy.”

Khushbu and Sundar C’s elder daughter Avantika tied the knot with Shravan Sreenivasan in Goa on Thursday evening. The wedding turned out to be a grand gathering of film personalities from all industries, with celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Nagarjuna Akkineni, Anil Kapoor, Amala Akkineni and Trisha Krishnan joining the celebrations.
