MPSC to conduct the preliminary examination coming in the CBT mode, it sets a 21-day deadline

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) is changing the way candidates write their first exam. From the coming period, all preliminary examinations will be conducted through Computer-Based Test (CBT), the Commission also promises quick results and short recruitment time.Announcing the decision on Friday, MPSC Chairman Vivek Bhimanwar said the move is part of an effort to reduce the delay that aspirants have been facing for years.

Fast results, short term registration

Bhimanwar said the Commission is now planning to announce the preliminary results within 21 days. He also mentioned the recently announced results of the State Services Preliminary Examination, which were announced in 22 days.“Now the organization will try to announce the results of all the preliminary examinations within 21 days,” he said. IANS reports.The organization has also set a target to complete the entire recruitment process in the same year that the examination is held.According to Bhimanwar, the recruitment for interviews will be completed within nine to 11 months, while the posts requiring only written test will be filled within six to seven months.“This will provide greater certainty to candidates and reduce uncertainty about their jobs,” he said.

There is no change in the mains

The Commission also clarified that the changes to CBT only affect the preliminary examination. The Civil Services Main Examination and Group A, Group B and Group C papers will continue as usual this year.Bhimanwar also said that CBT is a systematic approach that is already being used. He said that the organization has conducted about 140 tests through this process, and he said that the courts approve and the major recruitment agencies.He mentioned the Staff Selection Commission (SSC), Railway Recruitment Board (RRB), Maharashtra State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell and National Testing Agency (NTA), all of which use CBT and standardization in the main examination.Bhimanwar said that the new system is expected to make the examination more transparent, faster and less time-consuming and reduce delays in work.
