Karnataka sets Saturday school timings: Check the new schedule here
The Karnataka School Education Department has established Saturday timings for government, aided and private schools across the state. Henceforth, all schools will operate from 8.30 am to 12.30 pm on Saturdays, abolishing the different schedules followed in different districts.Until now, Saturday times were different in different schools. While some schools held classes from 8 am to noon, others worked from 7.30 am to 11.30 am. According to local media, the department has now ordered every school to follow the same schedule for four hours.The department said the change would make school time more familiar to students and parents. With all schools starting and ending classes at the same time on Saturdays, families will no longer have to follow different schedules.The familiarization period is also expected to help teachers follow the government’s online learning process. Since all schools will begin classes at the same time, teachers will be able to mark their attendance in a uniform manner across the state.
