ICAI launches advanced AI certification, signs MoU with Sarvam AI at innovation conference
New Delhi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) on Friday launched the two-day AI Innovation Conference (AIS) 2026 at the Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, gathering more than 4,000 delegates from India and abroad to discuss the growth of artificial intelligence (AI) in accounting, tax management, financial management.At the inaugural meeting, ICAI launched the AICA Level 3 advanced AI program for chartered accountants and signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with AI startup Sarvam AI to collaborate on AI education, capacity building, research and professional development. Union Minister of Culture and Tourism Gajendra Singh Shekhawat inaugurated the meeting.ICAI introduces AICA Level 3, affiliated with Sarvam AIThe new AICA Level 3 program is designed for ICAI members who have completed Level 2 certification. The organization has also released AI Essentials for Chartered Accountants, which aims to help professionals understand and use artificial intelligence.The MoU with Sarvam AI will focus on AI innovation, professional development, collaborative research, seminars, training and AI-centric development for chartered accountants.Union Minister highlights the importance of AIAddressing the meeting, Shekhawat said, “The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India has created a profession based on financial trust, where Chartered Accountants are playing a vital role in global change. ICAI is leading global change and has the potential to emerge as an ‘Institute of Global Trust’ by leading in the upliftment of AI life. Moving forward, ICAI has trained more than 50,000 people in Artificial Intelligence and developed more than 150 GPT-based tools to empower members and improve performance.According to ICAI, the conference has more than 50 speakers and 50 new AI presentations, with discussions covering AI production, digital currency, data analysis, cybersecurity, blockchain, automation, ESG and the future of finance and assurance.ICAI Vice President CA Mangesh Kinare said, “The future belongs to professionals who are constantly adapting, innovating and creating value.
