Farah Khan believes that while the thrill of romance may fade over time, marriage evolves into something much deeper.During a candid conversation with Shekhar Sumanthe filmmaker reflected on her 22 years of marriage with her husband Shirish Kunder. When asked why love and romance often seem to disappear after marriage, Farah offered a practical perspective.“When you come out, you want something very badly. When you get it, its value changes. Now I value Shirish in other things: as a father, as a person who takes care of the whole family. I can’t do without him. Shirish ke bagair hamara ghar nahi chal sakta,” he said.

“He’s a wonderful father”

Farah credited Shirish for being the pillar of her home and playing a major role in raising her three children.“He is a wonderful father. People ask me how all my children got early admissions to such good universities. I tell them that his father was his counselor. He gives a lot of time to each child.”He added that Shirish continues to pursue his own passions, revealing that he still writes scripts and has even started learning artificial intelligence.“Of course he writes scripts. He’s also learning AI. He’s a loner, and I’ve always known it. That’s one of the reasons I liked him.”

A joke about Shirish’s new look

Farah also shared a funny anecdote about her husband after his recent haircut.“My son and Shirish are now the same height. If someone walks into the room at night, I don’t know if it’s Shirish or my son. If the person comes and hugs me, then I know it’s my son,” she quipped.Earlier in the conversation, Farah also reflected on becoming a mother later in life. She revealed she was 42 when she underwent IVF and 43 when she gave birth to her triplets, calling her children “a blessing”.
