Actor-politician Khushbu Sundar’s family has a new reason to celebrate. Their elder daughter Avantika Sundar tied the knot with Shravan Sreenivasan in an intimate wedding ceremony held in Goa on Thursday evening. The private affair was attended by family members and a close-knit circle of friends from the Indian film industry.Making the happy announcement on social media, Khushbu shared the first pictures from the wedding along with an emotional note, saying the family was “speechless” as they watched their daughter start a new chapter.The wedding pictures captured several emotional moments of the ceremony. One photograph showed Avantika and Shravan holding hands in traditional silk dresses, while another monochrome image showed the groom kissing his bride on the forehead after the rituals. Khushbu also posted a family portrait with her filmmaker husband Sundar Cyoungest daughter Anandita, the newlyweds and their pet. While Avantika chose a pastel pink ensemble for the ceremony, Shravan and the rest of the family were dressed in coordinating gold outfits.
Khushbu thinks an emotional message
Sharing the news, Khushbu wrote that the occasion was filled with gratitude and overwhelming emotions.“We are truly at a loss for words right now, because words seem inadequate to express the emotions we are experiencing,” he wrote.The actor added that family has always been at the center of their lives and that they have long believed that “marriages are made in heaven.”Announcing the wedding, he wrote, “With immense joy and gratitude, we, Sundar C and Kushboo Sundar, are delighted to share the wonderful news that our beloved daughter, Ms. Avantika Sundar, got married to Mr. Shravan Sreenivasan on June 25, 2026.”Reflecting on the ceremony, she said: “Surrounded by the love of family and close friends, we witnessed a moment that will remain etched in our hearts forever. The warmth, affection and goodwill that surrounded us made the occasion truly magical. Our eyes are still moist and our hearts are overflowing with happiness and gratitude.”Khushbu revealed that the wedding was deliberately kept intimate, in line with the couple’s wishes.“It was a small and intimate celebration, exactly as the couple envisioned, and we were honored to fulfill their wishes. Sometimes the most beautiful moments are those shared quietly with the people who matter most,” she wrote, while thanking the team behind the celebrations.He concluded the note by introducing the newly married couple to their followers and asking for everyone’s blessings as they begin their journey together.“As Avantika and Shravan embark on this wonderful new chapter together, all we seek is your love and best wishes for a lifetime of happiness, companionship and countless cherished memories. Although the wedding was a private affair, it witnessed the presence of several prominent personalities from the entertainment industry. Trisha Krishnan, a close friend of Khushbu, attended the ceremony along with guests from the Tamil, Telugu and Hindi film industries.Among those present were Telugu superstars Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna, who attended with their wives. Bollywood actors Jackie Shroff and Anil Kapoor were also spotted at the celebrations. Khushbu had also invited Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin and actor-politician Vijay to the wedding. However, the three dignitaries were unable to attend the ceremony.
