Re-NEET UG 2026: NTA shares updates on OMR pages as challenge window opens

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that candidates for the Re-NEET UG 2026 examination will receive their OMR answers independently. The clarification comes after several students asked why the OMR sheets were not available along with the answer key for a while.According to NTA, analysis of OMR responses is still in progress. After the process is completed, candidates will be given another opportunity to check and copy their OMR answers. This will allow them to verify the answers written during the exam.Meanwhile, the agency has already opened the window for critical responses. Candidates can challenge the answer keys from June 25 to June 28 by paying a fee of Rs 200 per question. The NTA said the money would be refunded if the panel of experts accepted the challenge.Explaining the move, the agency said it had deliberately initiated the problem-solving process before the OMR analysis was completed. “This is done on purpose, in order to make it transparent, so that everyone has a quick and open opportunity to review the temporary answer keys for all four sets and mark any question that, in their opinion, needs to be re-checked,” NTA said. The agency added that allowing experts to view objections while the OMR analysis is in progress will help speed up the overall evaluation process. Candidates are advised to answer the questions only from their Question Paper Series codes printed on the cover of the exam booklet which they take home after the exam.Once the OMR sheets are released and all the objections are checked, NTA will prepare the final answer key. Re-NEET UG 2026 result will be declared on the basis of this final answer key.
