Vijayalakshmi Darshan, wife of jailed Kannada superstar Darshan Thoogudeepa, issued a detailed statement dismissing viral social media rumors claiming that her son Vineesh was hospitalized after a major car accident in Bengaluru. Clarifying the incident at Rajarajeshwari Nagar involving his Ford Endeavour, Vijayalakshmi confirmed that Vineesh is completely safe, he was not behind the wheel and only went out to check on a two-wheeler after a minor traffic collision. With the family already under intense public scrutiny, the Bengaluru police has also stepped in to confirm that no case or official complaint has been registered regarding the minor road accident.

A small incident on the road sparked rumours

The speculation started after a minor collision with a Ford Endeavor associated with Vineesh was reported in Bangalore. The vehicle is said to have been involved in a minor road accident with a two-wheeler. As videos and claims related to the incident spread online, confusion grew over Vineesh’s role in the accident.

Vijayalakshmi Darshan shares a detailed statement

According to TOI City reports, Darshan’s wife Vijayalakshmi Darshan released a detailed statement. He clarified in the statement that Vineesh was not injured and was not driving the vehicle when the accident happened.He said: “We would like to clarify that the news circulating in certain media claiming that Vinish met with an accident and has been hospitalized is completely false. Vinish is absolutely safe and doing well. He was not driving the vehicle; as is usually the case, our driver was behind the wheel.” There was a small incident on the road, which is unfortunately not uncommon in Bangalore traffic. The other party involved admitted it was their mistake and even apologized. Vinish merely stepped out of the vehicle to ensure that the people on the bike were safe. Unfortunately, these few moments have been taken out of context and presented in a completely misleading way.”Darshan’s wife added, “As a family we are already going through a difficult time, and the spread of such unverified and sensationalized news only adds to our pain and anxiety. We sincerely ask everyone, especially media organizations, to verify facts before publishing or disseminating information that may cause unnecessary distress to individuals and their families. We also request everyone not to believe or share these false reports.

Police confirm that no case has been registered

As reported by Money Control, the police have stated that no case related to the reported road incident has been registered.On the professional front, Darshan Thoogudeepa was last seen in ‘The Devil: The Hero’ which is a political action thriller in Kannada directed by Prakash Veer.
