Esha Deol has spoken about breakups, heartbreak and navigating life’s most personal decisions, saying she prefers to trust her own judgment and believes that every experience, including mistakes, helps a person become stronger.During a conversation with Curly Tales, Esha reflected on how she approaches major life choices, including relationships.“When it comes to decisions, I don’t take other people’s opinions. I like to make my own decisions because tomorrow, if it’s right or wrong, I won’t hold anyone else responsible. Whether it’s movies or a boyfriend. Mistakes happen. They only make you stronger and you learn from your mistakes,” he said.

The actress, who announced her separation from businessman husband Bharat Takhtani in 2024, described such situations as deeply personal and sensitive, especially when children are involved.“This is a very personal thing. It’s between two individuals. Being in the profession we’re in, it’s open to the public. I’m not the type of person, which is Bharat or his family, to be so open about a lot of things. But at the time, we were put into it and it also involves children. These are very sensitive places in life. You have to tread very carefully,” said Esha.He credited his family for being by his side through all phases of his life.“My family has always been very supportive of me through everything, good or bad,” he shared.
“Every situation is different”
When asked what advice she would give to women who may be contemplating separation but aren’t sure about taking that step, Esha emphasized that every relationship has its own circumstances.“The reasons could be very different. A lot of people will find my reasons not so reasonable for doing certain things. And it’s always not just a woman, it’s also a man. Two people who are good human beings, if they do something like that, I think it can be resolved better,” he said.Interestingly, despite going through a breakup, Esha admitted that she still believes deeply in love and romance. The actress added that her experiences have not changed her outlook on relationships.Esha and Bharat officially ended their 11-year marriage in 2024, announcing an amicable separation in February. They share two daughters, Radhya and Miraya, born in 2017 and 2019, respectively.
