Re NEET UG 2026 provisional answer key released: Step by step guide to raise objections
National Testing Agency (NTA) on Thursday released the provisional answer key for the Re NEET UG 2026 exam which was held again on June 21. Along with the answer key, the organization has also opened the answer key window for candidates.According to a public notice issued by NTA, candidates can challenge the answer keys temporarily online from June 25 to June 28 by paying a fee of Rs 200 per question. The money will be refunded in full if the problem is approved by the expert panel.Explaining the decision, the NTA said it has implemented a process for answering the answers immediately and publishing the answer keys temporarily, although the analysis of the OMR answers is still in progress.“This has been done deliberately, in order to make it transparent, so that every candidate has a quick and open opportunity to review the provisional answer keys for all four sets and mark any question that, in their opinion, deserves a fresh look,” the agency said. The NTA said that by allowing the expert evaluation of the issues to begin along with the analysis of the OMR, instead of waiting for the analysis to be completed, it intends to publish the final key and announce the results soon.Candidates are also advised to answer the questions only on their own Code Paper Series Code, which is printed on the cover of the exam booklet that they take home after the exam. NTA said that if the problem is accepted, the correction will be applied equally to all the candidates in all the four papers. After closing the objection window, all objections will be reviewed by subject matter experts. If the problem is found to be correct, the temporary answer key will be changed and the final key will be used to test the answers and prepare the results.“The Answer Keys completed after the challenge will be treated as final. No problem/complaints regarding the Answer Key(s) after the closing of the Challenge Window/declaration of results will be entertained,” the notification said.
