Positive Impact Rating 2026: The Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) has achieved a total score of 9.7 in the Positive Impact Rating (PIR) 2026, exceeding the international average of 8.0. The institution has also been recognized as a Level 5 ‘Pioneering School’ for the fifth year in a row, maintaining the highest quality of schools awarded under the international scheme.The Positive Impact Rating is a student-led global assessment that measures how business schools contribute to the advancement of society and prepare future leaders to tackle global challenges. Unlike conventional rankings that focus on academic performance and academic history, PIR examines a variety of institutions such as leadership, culture, learning processes, community engagement, and public impact.The 2026 edition of the PIR received the correct responses of nearly 20,000 students from 87 business schools in 32 countries and five continents, making it the largest publication of the survey to date.According to the results, IIM Bangalore did best in the ‘Energize’ and ‘Educate’ categories. Under ‘Energize’, which is in charge of the administration of the administration, in the ‘Learn’ group, For academic programs, learning strategies, and student support, IIM Bangalore scored a total of 9.6, compared to the international average of 7.9. Individual scores in this category included 9.7 for programs and 9.6 each for learning strategies and student support.The agency also said it is working hard in the areas of public affairs and its role as a model agency, which is assessed under the PIR’s ‘Enable’ section.Commenting on the recognition, Prof. U Dinesh Kumar, Director of IIM Bangalore, said that the feedback received through the process helps the institution to improve its efforts in responding to the public’s expectations from executive education.“The annual responses we receive through PIR help validate our efforts at a time when the modern B-School is being called to a higher goal than ever before. We will continue to take steps to address issues that matter to people in our journey to be among the world’s leading centers of management education,” he said.Prof. Mukta Kulkarni, Dean of Programs at IIM Bangalore, said the recognition was very important because the evaluation was based on student feedback.“It is very encouraging to see IIMB continue to be recognized at the highest level for student voice productions. It’s hard for us to keep raising the bar,” he said.The Positive Impact Rating is managed by a Swiss organization and was launched by a consortium of business school experts. The project is supported by organizations including WWF, Oxfam International, and UN Global Compact Switzerland & Liechtenstein. It focuses on assessing the contribution of business schools to sustainable living and development.
