NMC pulls the curtain on PG diploma courses in medicine, transitions to MD and MS degrees
The National Medical Commission (NMC) has decided to phase out medical diploma courses across India, paving the way for a complete shift to MD and MS degree programs for specialized medical education. Admissions to PG diploma courses will be held for the last time in 2026-27, and after that, admissions to these programs will not be held again.This is the beginning of a major change in the field of special medical education.
