Rajasthan Department of Local Self Government has released the official notification for Rajasthan Safai Karamchari Recruitment 2026. The recruitment will fill more than 24,000 posts of Safai Karamchari (sanitation worker) across 183 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) in the state.One of the main features of this recruitment is that no educational qualifications are listed. Applicants who did not attend school may also apply if they meet the employment requirements. Since there is no educational requirement, there will be no written test or interview to select.The online application process will start on August 15, 2026.
what to do
Applicants for Rajasthan Safai Karamchari Recruitment 2026 must fulfill the following criteria:
- The applicant must be a resident of Rajasthan.
- No educational qualifications are required.
- The candidate must be physically and mentally fit.
- Applicants must have at least one year of experience in cleaning services.
- A one-year event can be continuous or combined from different periods.
- Candidates having experience of sanitation work in Urban Local Body of Rajasthan are eligible to apply.
- The meeting certificate must be issued by the competent authority as specified in the notification.
- Anyone can register with only one of the 183 participating Urban Local Bodies.
Age limitCandidates must be at least 21 years of age and must not exceed 40 years of age as on January 1, 2027.Age relaxation will be available as per government rules:
- Men belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST), Other Backward Class (OBC), and Economically Weaker Section (EWS) who are permanent residents of Rajasthan will get 5 years of relaxation.
- Women who live in Rajasthan permanently will get 5 years of relaxation.
- Women belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Most Backward Class (MBC), and EWS who are permanent residents of Rajasthan will get 10 years relaxation.
The way to choose
There will be no written test or interview.Selection will be done through a lottery process conducted separately for each Urban Local Body. Preference will be given to those who have one year experience in sanitation work in Urban Local Body. If the eligible candidates are not found, the registered candidates from the Urban Local Bodies will be considered for the lottery.
Application fees
Candidates will have to pay the application fee according to their category:
- General (Unreserved): ₹600
- Reserved category: ₹400
- Persons with disabilities (PwD): ₹400
The application link will be active on the official website from August 15, 2026, after which the eligible candidates can complete the online application process and pay the required fee.
