National Testing Agency (NTA) has invited people to apply for 16 Young Professional (YP) posts through the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Pratibha Setu portal. The recruitment is aimed at strengthening the academic, legal and financial functions of the organization while expanding its monitoring and research activities. According to the official information, this place is available in three rivers. There are 12 posts in Educational Research, 2 posts in Legal Research, and 2 posts in Finance and Accounts Research. Candidates will work at NTA headquarters in Delhi. Occasional travel to India may also require a valid work permit. The engagement will initially be for 24 months and may be extended by another 12 months depending on the progress of the organization and the needs of the organization.

Educational Research

Candidates must:

  • Appeared in Civil Services Examination and listed on Pratibha Setu website.
  • An advanced degree in a relevant subject is preferred.
  • Those with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree or research and teaching will be given the opportunity.

Legal research

Candidates must:

  • Appeared in Civil Services Examination with Law as optional subject.
  • Hold a Master of Laws (LLM) degree from an accredited university.
  • Preference will be given to those with experience in legal or criminal investigations.

Financial Research and Accounts

Candidates must:

  • Appeared in Civil Services Examination and sat on Pratibha Setu page.
  • Hold a first degree in Commerce, Economics, Finance or a related subject, or hold a professional qualification such as a Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost and Management Accountant (CMA) or Financial Secretary (CS).
  • Candidates with experience in finance, budgeting or auditing would be preferred.

Candidates should also fall within the age limit prescribed under the UPSC Pratibha Setu scheme.

Salary and time

Candidates will receive:

  • Fixed monthly salary of ₹80,000.
  • Initial contract of 24 months, extendable to 36 months based on performance.
  • Eight days of annual leave on a pro-rata basis.
  • Full-time, five-day assignment at NTA office in Delhi.

This announcement makes it clear that the engagement is contractual and does not guarantee that the government or NTA will continue to work indefinitely.
