Netflix’s latest romantic drama ‘Musafir Cafe’ has won praise for its heartfelt storytelling and understated treatment of love. Directed by Ruchir Arun, the series is adapted from Divya Prakash Dubey’s best-selling Hindi novel of the same name and premiered on the streaming platform on Friday. Starring Vikrant Massey, Vedika Pinto and Mahima Makwana in pivotal roles, the series was made on a controlled budget.As per various media reports, Vikrant has become the highest paid member of the cast, although he also serves as co-producer of the project under his banner, Homemade Stories.

According to various reports, Vikrant Massey was paid approximately Rs 10-15 crore for ‘Musafir Cafe’. Apart from portraying Chander Mohan Sharma, the actor has also made his debut as a co-producer of the series.Vedika Pinto, who essays the role of Sudha, earned Rs 3-5 crore. Mahima Makwana, seen as Preeti, is said to have received Rs 2-3 crore for her performance.Actor Adil Hussain, who plays Mark, took home Rs 3-4 crore. Meanwhile, supporting actors Rajeev Siddhartha, Anubha Fatehpuria, Loveleen Mishra and Sadia Siddiqui were paid between Rs 80 lakh and Rs 2 crore, depending on their roles.
