Rishab Rikhiram Sharma has set his sights on the Oscars!The Sitar maestro on Monday shared a glimpse of his live performance at the grand ‘Ramayana’ Bharat Mandapam event in New Delhi, where he performed his rendition of ‘Rama Rama’. Sharing the video on her handle, she also expressed her excitement to be a part of the film and also shared the confidence of getting an Oscar nomination.The musician took to the comments to write, “Honored to contribute to this historic project celebrating the story of the Ramayana. I humbly present a rendition of ‘Rama Rama’ to all of you performed live last night at the Bharat Mandapam. See you at the Oscars.”

During the launch event, producer Namit Malhotra confirmed that Sharma has officially joined the film’s music team along with Oscar winners AR Rahman and Hans Zimmer. Announcing the collaboration on stage, Malhotra said, “So is Rishabh, besides Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman. He will also be bringing his talent to the Ramayana.”The launch event of the Ramayana, unveiled the first trailer of the film and introduced the audience to the scale of Nitesh Tiwariadaptation of the ancient epic. Alongside the trailer, the event showcased a glimpse of the film’s visual world, concept art, costumes, character artwork and star cast.

The main cast of the film, consisting of Ranbir Kapoor, Sai PallaviRavi Dubey, director Nitesh Tiwari, producer Namit Malhotra, Kunal Kapoor, Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, Arun Govil, Ajinkya Deo, Shobhna were joined by several prominent personalities from the film industry including Swami Ramdev, Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari, Karan Johar, Apo and others.‘Ramayana’ will soon make a splash on the world stage when its trailer premieres at the San Diego Comic-Con on July 24.
