Brenda Fricker dies at 81
Brenda Fricker died aged 81 at her home in Dublin. He departed for his heavenly abode on July 16, his longtime agent Phil Belfield confirmed. The BBC reported that Belfield shared that “We will never see her again and the world is the lesser for her. I was honored to know, love and work with her, and she will always have a place in my heart and the hearts of so many film and television fans around the world.”“Shortly after the news of his death, tributes and well wishes began to pour in. Her ‘Casualty’ co-star Derek Thompson released a statement saying: “Truly the best thing I’ve ever worked with, and I’ve worked with a lot of actors,” while the show’s Cathy Shipton shared: “She lived her life bravely, her intelligence and her bravery and her brilliant sense of humor. Life happened when you were around Brenda. We share a love of dogs, and my baby girl Juno carries the name of her favorite collie Tánaiste Simon Harris also paid his respects and described her as a “national treasure”.At the time of writing, his agent has not shared any information about how he died.
