Govinda opens up about being HEARD by the industry when he announced ‘Roopa’: ‘I have thought and what people cannot think.’

Veteran actor Govinda is preparing to return to the big screen with ‘Roopa‘. Ahead of the film’s release, the actor looked back on the ups and downs of his career, revealing that he was repeatedly told that his film journey had come to an end. However, Govinda believes that each setback only motivated him to start anew.As stated by IANS, speaking at the film’s press conference on Monday, Govinda reflected on the challenges he faced over the years and said he considers these difficult phases as part of his destiny.“Perhaps it was fate that I was rejected many times. People said now I will not appear in films. I am starting again. And I pray to God that what I have thought and what people cannot think, this film will do its magic. This movie is especially for young people. When they see it in the theater. This dream will come true. And this is possible. I’m not going to talk about any spirituality in this.”The actor also expressed hope that ‘Roopa’ will resonate with younger audiences and become a memorable cinematic experience.

Govinda on his faith in numerology

During the interaction, Govinda also spoke about his long-standing belief in numerology, revealing that the number 14 has played an important role throughout his life and career.“Number 14 is my lucky number. I believe in numerology. My name is also according to numerology. I believed in it from a very young age. I was 14 years old. I was blessed by God. I signed 14 films in one week. Then I watched superstar for 14 years. Then I became a member of parliament for 14 years. And then I came back to films. This is the first time I could not wait more than 5 years that I said: ‘I’ll start again’. And now I hope the journey has started from here.”

Govinda remembers the early struggles

Looking back to his early days, Govinda recalled how people doubted his dream of becoming a film hero because of his lifestyle and personal choices.“When I told the people that I will become a hero, people laughed at me. They said, ‘You don’t smoke cigarettes, you consume alcohol, non-vegetarian food, garlic and onions. How can you become a hero?’. People said that if you run in fear, you will become a saint. But that didn’t happen. I did what my mother had thought. And now I think this movie is very important for children. That these films must be made. And the kids should step up.”
