Born Gaynor Hopkins in Neath, South Wales, the musician died on Wednesday night in a hospital in Portugal, where she was being treated after emergency bowel surgery and subsequent complications.According to a statement on her official website, Tyler’s family and team are “heartbroken” to announce that she “passed away unexpectedly last night in a hospital in Portugal as a result of the illness she was being treated for.” She had been placed in a medically induced coma following the emergency procedure for a perforated bowel months before she died.
