Almost seven weeks after the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) concluded the Class 10 Second Board Examination 2026, many students are still waiting for their results, anxiety is constantly growing on social media. The final exam was held on May 21, 2026. As of July 9, 2026, 49 days have passed since the exam ended, yet CBSE has not announced the date and time of the announcement. While the board remained silent on the occasion, several reports suggest that the results may be released this week, although no confirmation has been given. The long wait has caused students and parents to flood X (formerly Twitter), questioning the delay and expressing concern over the wait to enter Class 11.
More than 6.68 lakh students are waiting for the result
The second board exam, held between May 15 and May 21, was introduced under the new CBSE dual board exam system, giving eligible students another chance to improve their results within the same academic session.According to CBSE data, 6,68,854 people have registered for the exam. This included 5,25,655 progressives, 85,285 room goers, and 57,914 in both categories.Once declared, the institute will prepare the final results using the best of two points, while the highest score obtained by the student in the first or second exam will be considered as the final logo.
Parents and students question the delay
As Class 11 admissions are already underway in many schools, several parents say the delay has led to uncertainty over the allocation and payment of fees.X user Rabia Hasan (@Rabiahasan368) wrote that her son scored 81.4 percent in the first board exam and is waiting for the second board result to get admission in Science stream.“Dear CBSE, My son has scored 81.4% in Class 10th Board Exam and is interested in Science stream. Second board exam result is still awaited, and schools are not confirming admission. Please release the result soon.”Another user, Rahul Mehta (@rahul_rvm82), asked why the results took so long even though the exams were completed weeks ago.“What is going on in CBSE? Why is the Second Board exam result for class 10 pending for so long?”He said students are facing the consequences of the delay, pointing to schools that have started calculating Class 11 fees from April while many are waiting.Similarly, Mangesh Sharma (@Mangesh13377364) has put up Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan and CBSE, asking them to declare the results.“CBSE 2026 Second Board Exam result is not out yet… exam was held on 21st May 2026. Dear Sir help me.”Another X user, DINO (@DeependraEngg), highlighted the financial hardship for parents, saying that schools have been collecting fees since April even as many students are waiting to confirm admission after the second board results. This concern is also evident in all online student communities, where aspirants say that doubts affect their Class 11 admission and academic preparation.
