Director Rajkumar Periyasamy has reacted strongly to rumors doing the rounds on social media about “Amara‘ and his upcoming film ‘OM’ starring Dhanush. Speculation claimed that ‘Amaran’ had undergone extensive shooting on the advice of the producer Kamal Haasan and that the filmmaker was shooting several scenes again for ‘OM’. THESE CORRECTIONS WERE NOT GIVEN BY KAMAL HAASAN SIR.” He further praised the veteran actor-producer for trusting his vision, saying, “When he saw ‘Amaran’ once during the post-production phase, he had nothing but tears and words of gratitude. And as a producer, he gave me all the freedom to make the movie I wanted.” His response quickly went viral, with many fans backing the filmmaker to address the rumors head on.

Rajkumar also expressed his disappointment at the repeated attempts to undermine a filmmaker’s work. “A director works for years to make a movie he envisioned. He also reminded critics that reshooting a film is neither simple nor haphazard, stressing that it requires a lot of planning, responsibility and money.
