Justin also shared the big update in a video posted on his social media. Bieber also said in a statement: “The FIFA World Cup brings the world together in a way that nothing else can. I’m grateful to be a part of this Halftime Show, and even more grateful to know that it’s already helping to expand access to education for children around the world.”
Burn Boy joins the formation
Afrobeat star Burna Boy, Venezuelan conductor Gustavo Dudamel and the PS22 Chorus, an elementary school student choir based in Staten Island, New York, will also perform.Of all the performances, Burna Boy’s inclusion stands out in particular: he is half of this year’s official song for the World Cup, “Dai Dai”, directed by Shakira. The song is a mesh of his musical landscapes: Afrobeats and Latin rhythms, an undeniably global and multilingual pop theme. In one verse, they name some of the world’s most famous footballers and countries competing in this year’s World Cup: “Brazil, Uruguay, Argentina, Colombia,” Shakira enthuses. “Mexico, Japan, Korea, Netherlands.”“The FIFA World Cup is one of the few moments that truly brings the entire world together,” Burna Boy said in a statement. “To represent Africa in the first half-time show of the FIFA World Cup Finals is a privilege and a responsibility that I do not take lightly.”
About the FIFA World Cup Halftime Show

The show will support FIFA’s Global Citizen Education Fund, which is raising $100 million to help children access education and football. And while the Super Bowl is famous for its halftime show, such performances are not common in football, with events such as the Champions League final featuring a pre-match concert. This year’s World Cup halftime performance will also feature some “Sesame Street” characters, as well as Muppets like Kermit and Miss Piggy.
