NEET UG 2026 refund renewal window closes today, candidates must verify their bank details before it expires.

New Delhi: The National Testing Agency (NTA) will close the final window for NEET UG 2026 bank refunds today, July 7, 2026. Those eligible for refunds must verify or update their account details on the official NTA NEET Portal before 11:50 PM IST.An additional window has been provided to allow candidates to correct errors in bank account details and ensure that appropriate returns are processed. Candidates who fail to complete the final submission or verification within the deadline may experience delayed or non-renewal of their refund.The last step in verifying a refund claimCandidates need to log into the NTA NEET Portal and check the details including bank account number, bank name and IFSC number. The nominated account must belong to the nominee, a parent, or be a joint account where the nominee’s name is included.The NTA has advised those who had already submitted their bank details to re-verify their details before the closing date. Candidates in all categories will get Rs 1,700, while OBC-NCL and EWS candidates will get Rs 1,600. Candidates belonging to SC, ST, PwD and Transgender categories will get Rs 1,000. NRI candidates will get Rs 9,500.NTA has already started processing direct bank transfers in sectors for candidates whose bank details are properly verified. Bank charges and GST applied at the time of payment will not be refunded.Time to return portal updatesThe NTA opened the first refund window on May 22, 2026. The deadline for submitting bank details was May 27, 2026. The agency extended this period to June 22, 2026, and opened another dedicated refund window on June 25, 2026, after the June 21 resumption.The previously announced deadline was June 30, 2026. The latest update has made July 7, 2026, 11:50 PM IST, the last chance for repairs and renewals.NEET UG 2026 registration and score returnNEET UG 2026 had 22,79,743 applicants, and 22,05,035 appeared for the exam on May 3, 2026. The attendance rate was 96.92%. Female applicants numbered 13,32,928, while male applicants stood at 9,46,815.The test was conducted in 5,432 test locations in 551 domestic and 14 international cities. According to NTA data, 8,29,510 people have successfully verified their bank account, while more than 13,75,000 are still hoping to have it verified or corrected.
