During one of his recent live sessions, the actor-singer had opened up about all the struggles for the team to ensure that ‘Satluj’ saw the light of day. After the opening day, while going live and talking to fans about the film, Dosanjh revealed that he was not allowed to talk about the film until its release.When a fan asked why it wasn’t released on another platform, he replied saying, in Punjabi, “Till yesterday I wasn’t even allowed to talk about the film with anyone. The film was released directly on the platform without any promotion. Does this ever happen? The entire team worked hard on the film.”He also shared that there are many things he wanted to talk about; however, he can’t, although he still asked fans to continue to support them and shared that he saw all the videos, edits and posts that viewers had made about the film online.

After almost 4 years, Diljit Dosanjh’s ‘Satluj’, which was first titled as ‘Punjab 95’, was released on a popular OTT platform. However, after two days, it was removed from the platform entirely, “until further notice.”

The court has already given its decision in the matter, and the film talks about the same and does not try to show something new.”However, he continued on a positive note and thanked everyone for watching the film and shared that he sees everyone’s efforts to spread the film far and wide. He added that “The only thing that gives me relief is the fact that you all have the movie now, and the movie can’t be stopped now.” At the beginning of the live, the actor had already stated that the news that the film is being pulled from the platform might come, however, he shared that he was happy to see people watching the film and sharing it far and wide.After the film was removed, illegal download links started doing the rounds online, with fans sharing links where “Satluj” could be downloaded illegally.
