Years after the release of the film, Urmila Matondkar revealed that she was so captivated by Aamir’s performance that she felt compelled to write him a personal letter, long before audiences and critics began showering him with praise.Recalling the incident during her appearance in Dance Deewane 3 in 2021, Urmila shared that the admiration came while dubbing for the film. “Very few people know that when I was dubbing for ‘Rangeela’, I saw Aamir’s performance and was blown away. I wrote him a letter in which I wrote, “You will get many letters after this performance and you will also get awards. But this will be the first fan letter you’ll get.”‘”
