After delivering a commanding performance in the ring, Rind made it clear that sharing the occasion with the Bollywood superstar was as special as the win itself.After his 2-1 knockout win over India’s Rana Singh, the fighter took to the microphone and revealed how much Salman had inspired him over the years.Taking the microphone after the match, Rind could not contain his excitement as he addressed Salman and declared, “I have been watching your films since childhood.” He also expressed his gratitude for the opportunity to wrestle in front of his idol, stating, “It was a pleasure to wrestle in front of you.”
Victory dedicated to peace
Rind also used the post-match platform to deliver a heartfelt message that went beyond sports. Calling for harmony between India and Pakistan, he dedicated his victory to peace and unity. “This fight is for peace. We are not enemies, we are together. On the professional front, Salman Khan has a full slate of films ahead of him. He will next be seen in the patriotic war drama ‘Maatrubhumi’, earlier titled ‘Battle of Galwan’. While the film has generated considerable buzz, its release date is yet to be announced.Apart from this, Salman is also working on a high-octane action-comedy with directorial duo Raj & DK, best known for ‘The Family Man’. The project will mark the filmmakers’ return to the big screen almost a decade after ‘A Gentleman’ (2017).Also, reports suggest that the superstar is in discussions with Farhan Akhtar for a grand period drama based on one of the most celebrated figures in Indian history. Salman is expected to start shooting for the ambitious project between October and November 2026 after completing Vamshi Paidipally’s upcoming action entertainer, which is currently shooting in Mumbai and is slated to hit theaters on Eid 2027.
