actress Aishwarya Lekshmi has opened up about his academic journey. In a recent interview, she revealed that despite completing her MBBS degree, she has never had the opportunity to work as a doctor. The actress said in a recent interview that she spent years getting her medical degree, but eventually pursued a completely different profession.Speaking during a promotional interview with Ginger Media for ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’, Aishwarya explained how life unexpectedly took her to cinema instead of medicine.
Acting was never part of Aishwarya Lekshmi’s plan
During the interaction, Aishwarya spoke about her transition from medicine to films. Although she admitted that she has always loved the medical profession, she described her acting career as something that happened out of the blue.She said, “I am a doctor. I completed my MBBS degree. But after that, I never got a chance to treat people. I worked really hard to clear my exams. I really love being a doctor. But I became an actress quite unexpectedly. I think it was God’s plan. Becoming a doctor is not easy; it takes at least eight years.”
From modeling to Malayalam cinema
Before making her mark in films, Aishwarya Lekshmi worked as a successful model. She entered Malayalam cinema in 2017 with Nivin Pauly’s ‘Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela’.It was Aashiq Abu’s ‘Mayaanadhi’ that transformed his career. His performance as Appu received great acclaim from both audiences and critics.
‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ opens with a good start
Meanwhile, Aishwarya’s latest release ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ has had a good start at the domestic box office. According to Sacnilk, the film earned around Rs 2.55 crore nett in India on its opening day.The sequel has also grossed around Rs 2.93 crore in India. The film registered an overall occupancy of 26% in 2,109 shows on Day 1.Directed by Chella Ayyavu, ‘Gatta Kusthi 2’ reunites Vishnu Vishal and Aishwarya Lekshmi after the success of the original film.
