Farah Khan visited Murali Sharma-Ashwini Kalsekar’s home in Mumbai for her cooking vlog, recalling a harness mishap from Main Hoon Naa that made Shah Rukh Khan laugh. The couple shared their love story, showed off their all-white house, mandir floor and kitchen, before enjoying baingan chutney and lunch together with Farah.

Farah Khan and his cook Dilip headed to the actor couple’s Mumbai home Murali Sharma i Ashwini Kalsekar in her latest YouTube cooking vlog episode. The duo welcomed Farah with a big smile and prepared a tasty baingan pachdi for the occasion. During the visit, Farah, the filmmaker behind ‘Main Hoon Naa’, recalled shooting with Murali, who played Khan in the film. Looking back at the time they shot the 2004 hit, Murali said, “I just had to fly to the first floor.” Farah said: “At that time the quality of the harness was not very good and people did not know how to use it properly. He just had to get out of the car and Murali was hanging on the door. Murali and the door flew.”He continued, “These people were laughing. This was my first time with a rope. When Shah Rukh sir came, he was shown the whole shot. He rolled on the floor laughing.” His wife Ashwini laughed loudly and said, “Even when you see that shot now, he has these expressions of fear.”

The conversation then moved to the living room, where the actor-couple shared the story of how their romance with Farah began. Murali and Ashwini tied the knot in 2009, after first crossing paths on the set of the 2005 film ‘Apaharan’. The couple has spoken candidly in the past about their struggles to have children of their own, citing both health issues and financial constraints. Adding a touch of humor to the vlog, Farah’s cook Dilip appeared dressed as Vasooli Bhai, the memorable character played by Mukesh Tiwari in the serial ‘Golmaal’.

Murali and Ashwini’s Mumbai home is spacious and follows an all-white theme. From the walls and ceiling to the curtains, every element has muted tones, complemented by brown sofas. His love of books was also clear, with an entire bookshelf in one room dedicated to a major collection. Touring this very space, Ashwini pointed out her make-up corner, mentioning that she does her own make-up for film roles. “Artists should be like her. People pay 1 lakh rupees to makeup artists. Learn something, we save a lot of money,” expressed Farah.

Ashwini also showed off the floor near her mandir, which she herself had designed with real flowers. When the vlog ended, the couple took Farah around their bedroom and kitchen. The kitchen also had an airy feel, with cabinets and counters finished in white. Once the Andhra-style baingan chutney was ready, Farah presented the couple with gifts, after which the group sat down to enjoy lunch together.
