New Delhi: The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the results of the CA Foundation Examination held in May 2026. Along with the results, the Institute has released the examination statistics, including the pass rate, gender distribution and details of those who qualified.Candidates who appeared for this exam can get their result and marks through ICAI official portal by entering their registration number and roll number. The board has also published the results of the examination and announced the names of the top three candidates.More than 18,000 candidates are eligibleAccording to the ICAI release, 90,217 candidates appeared for the CA Foundation Examination held in May 2026. Among them, 18,124 winners were successful, which made the overall success rate 20.09%.Of the 46,798 men who took the test, 9,769 passed, resulting in a failure rate of 20.88%.

For female candidates, 43,419 appeared and 8,355 cleared the exam. The success rate among women reached 19.24 percent.ICAI also reported that 1,06,144 candidates appeared for the May 2026 Foundation examination. The survey was conducted in 609 locations located in India and abroad.The results are available through the official portalThe institute has made the results and marks of the aspirants available on their official website. Candidates have to enter their roll number along with their roll number to get the poster.The issued card enables the candidates to check their exam performance after successful entry through the official portal.Merit List also declaredAlong with the announcement of results, ICAI released the names of the toppers of the CA Foundation Examination.Sakshi Jain of Nashik bagged the All India first rank after scoring 371 marks, equivalent to 92.75%.The second All India rank was secured by Ayanabbas Ajani from Chandrapur with 367 marks, a translation of 91.75 percent.Radha Unmesh Mulay from Pune got the third All India rank with 365 marks, equal to 91.25%.The merit list shows the top scorers in the May 2026 exam and has been released along with the full results.President of ICAI congratulated the achieversFollowing the declaration of results, ICAI President CA Prasanna Kumar D congratulated the successful candidates and welcomed the start of their Chartered Accountancy journey.In his message, he said qualifying the Foundation exam is the beginning of the journey to becoming a Chartered Accountant. He added that the upcoming process will bring challenges and also provide opportunities for learning, professional development and achieving long-term goals. He encouraged the students to be focused, self-disciplined and committed to continuing their studies as they progress through the next stages of the Chartered Accountancy programme.Slightly larger numbersThe May 2026 CA Foundation exam admitted 1,06,144 applicants and witnessed 90,217 candidates appearing at 609 centers in India and abroad.
