‘Ramayana’ trailer coming in July?

The makers of “Ramayana” are planning an international launch for the film’s elaborate promotional campaign, with several reports suggesting that the first official trailer will be unveiled at a grand event in Los Angeles on July 14.The launch event will reportedly be the first big showcase of the mythological epic and is expected to be attended by lead stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash along with other members of the cast and crew. The trailer is reportedly releasing almost three months before the film hits the big screens on Diwali.If the buzz is true, the trailer will come after the makers dropped the ‘Rama First Glimpse’ earlier this year. It was earlier reported that the makers intended to release these ‘First Glimpse’ clips to introduce the global audience to the characters of the epic coming for the festive season of Diwali.

‘Ramayana’ at Comic Con?

While the team has not officially confirmed the event, the reports come amid growing speculation that “Ramayana” may also premiere footage at the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), slated for this month. According to an earlier report by Mid-day, producer Malhotra and director Tiwari have been in advanced talks to release the first full trailer of ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ during the festival, which has also played host to international titles like ‘Avengers’, ‘Spider-Man’, ‘Lord of the Rings’ and more. This year’s SDCC is scheduled to take place July 23-26, with a preview night on July 22.Meanwhile, Malhotra has been hosting special screenings of exclusive film footage for content creators in India for the past few weeks. These images reportedly gave them a glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.The two-part epic is being mounted on a massive scale and is slated for a worldwide theatrical release starting with ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ in Diwali 2026 and ‘Ramayana: Part 2’ in Diwali 2027.
