Police located the suspect through investigation
According to Thanthi TV, Ravi Mohan lodged a complaint with the Neelankarai police after discovering that a diamond necklace and Rs 2.5 lakh cash were missing from his residence on June 22. Based on the complaint, the police registered a CSR and started an investigation. The officers individually questioned the staff members and drivers working at the actor’s home. During the investigation, suspicion fell on the driver Rajesh, prompting the police to intensify interrogations.
Cash recovered, accused taken into judicial custody
During the investigation, Rajesh allegedly admitted to embezzling Rs 2.5 lakh in cash. Police said the money was later returned to Ravi Mohan. Despite the recovery, officials took legal action against the accused. The Neelankarai police formally arrested Rajesh on charges of theft, produced him before a court and later remanded him in judicial custody. The investigation into the missing diamond necklace is expected to continue as police look into all aspects of the case.
