Marriage speculation surrounding Kriti Sanon has often hit the headlines, but her brother-in-law and singer Stebin Ben believes the actor should never feel pressured to settle down. In a recent interview, Stebin said that Kriti has earned the right to make this decision on her own terms and should only get married when she feels completely ready.
“She deserves the freedom to decide”
Asked if discussions about Kriti’s marriage take place in the family, Stebin revealed that even though people often bring up the topic, he prefers to support her rather than join the discussion.Speaking to Galatta India, Stebin said, “People do talk about it because after the younger sister gets married, everyone starts wondering why the older sister hasn’t. But I never discuss it with Kriti, and whenever the topic comes up, I’m right there with her. He is doing exceptionally well in his career. A girl who comes from a small town and builds such a big identity for herself is a huge achievement.”He added that marriage should only happen when the individual feels secure.“I think she should have her own time and freedom. When Kriti feels she has found the right person and feels the time is right to get married, she will make that decision. There is absolutely no need to rush.”Stebin further said that there should be no age limit attached to marriage.“If someone gets married at 20, 30, 35 or even 40, it doesn’t matter. You should only get married when you are absolutely sure. Why rush into something so important?”Kriti is rumored to be dating London-based businessman Kabir Bahia since mid-2024. Although neither has officially confirmed the relationship, they have often been seen together during vacations, family gatherings and public events, including Nupur Sanon’s wedding festivities. Recently, breakup rumors surfaced after Kabir was spotted with another woman. However, Kriti seemed to put an end to the speculation by sharing a cozy picture with him on Instagram, reigniting the buzz about their relationship.
“I relate to Kriti’s journey”
Apart from her personal life, Stebin also spoke fondly about Kriti’s professional journey, saying that she sees similarities between their careers.“When I look at Kriti, I relate so much to my own journey. Somewhere that’s why I connect with her so much. He entered the industry, worked hard, got ahead on his own, and earned his stardom entirely through his own efforts.”He also admired the fact that despite becoming one of the top stars in Bollywood, he has remained grounded.“She’s become a huge star today, but she’s still connected to her parents and grounded. Everything about her is the best.”
“There are no limits to her”
Stebin believes that Kriti’s best years are still ahead of her.“I think his future is very bright. He will go much further. She has so many films lined up and I think there are no limits for her.”He concluded by praising his growth as an actor.“She’s become a better actor over the years, and people are seeing it. Her fandom is growing, people are giving her more love, and I’m very sure she’s going to do wonders and make everyone proud. She’s already making everyone proud. I’m super proud of her.”
