Noida, Greater Noida has revised the school timings for Classes 1 to 8 amid continued heatwave

School timings for students of Classes 1 to 8 have been changed in Noida and Greater Noida following the persistent heat wave in the region. The District Basic Education Officer of Gautam Buddh Nagar has ordered all schools to function from 7:00 AM to 12:00 PM from June 29, 2026, until further notice.The revised policy is applicable to government, government aided, recognized, CBSE, ICSE, Madrasa and all other board affiliated schools in Gautam Buddh Nagar. School authorities have been advised to apply the revised timings without exception and continue to follow them until new guidelines are issued.Times changed to workAccording to the administration of the district, the change has been implemented in order to reduce the temperature of the students during the day. The revised schedule reduces school hours to the morning, when temperatures are mild, while temperatures continue to rise across the region.
