‘House of the Dragon’ Season 3: Daemon and Rhaenyra scene goes viral as fans spot Daenerys Targaryen reference – WATCH |
Almost a decade after his last appearance in ‘game of thrones“, the Mother of Dragons, aka Daenerys Targaryen, is making her way into the history of “House of the Dragon.” A newly released clip from the latest episode of Season 3 has gone viral online, with fans buzzing over a reference to the iconic character, originally played by Emilia Clarke. The clip features an emotional conversation between Daemon Targaryen and Rhaenyra Targaryen, who is mourning the death of her son, Jacaerys “Jace” Velaryon. Lying in bed, she tells Daemon that she is “tired” before the two begin speaking in High Valyrian.During the conversation, Daemon explains a prophetic vision he experienced in Harrenhal, describing images that fans believe point directly to Daenerys Targaryen. “I saw it, Rhaenyra, in Harrenhal. The darkness in the north. The Son of Ice and Fire. I saw a girl with silver hair in a desert far away, and there were dragons on her chest. But if it’s true, what my brother told you…if it were true, what would you do then?” says Daemon in the scene. The clip had fans taking to social media to say, “Oh, they’re 100% going to give Rhaenyra visions of Daenerys in the future. This is pretty much a Daemon teaser.” Another said: “DAEMON SPEAK OF DAENERYS!!!”Another said: “He’s literally manipulating everything because of visions he believes predict his victory. He doesn’t even see the end and how House Targaryen has become extinct and disgraced.”The reference is also based on an important moment in Season 2. In 2024, ‘House of the Dragon’ featured Daemon’s vision at the Weirwood tree in Harrenhal, which included glimpses of Daenerys, the White Walkers, a dead dragon and other prophetic images related to future ‘Game of Thrones’ events. The sequence became one of the most talked about moments of the show and ultimately influenced Daemon’s decision to support Rhaenyra’s claim to the Iron Throne. The latest episode seems to expand on that prophecy, further connecting House of the Dragon to events unfolding generations later in Game of Thrones.
