However, the move has sparked speculation ahead of his expected visit to the UK. According to the latest BBC report, the royal couple is now reconsidering after the police application was rejected.Prince Harry had planned to bring his wife and children for the first time in four years in early July. His team had asked for special police protection for the whole family, but it was refused, claiming no taxpayer-funded safeguards would be provided. The decision marks a difficult time for the Sussexes, forcing them to reconsider plans as the security denial comes almost a week before the family visit.

Before the official security clearance, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s team confirmed that the couple had agreed to stay at the royal residence as guests of King Charles III. However, Buckingham Palace officials claimed they had not received any confirmation of acceptance. The couple were also expected to use private accommodation in the UK. In addition, royal protection would have been granted on the royal estate, but not outside the enclosure.The last time King Charles III saw his grandchildren in person was during Queen Elizabeth II’s platinum jubilee celebrations in 2022.
