Suhasini describes the FINAL moments of K Bhagyaraj:

The demise of legendary filmmaker K. Bhagyaraj has left the Tamil film industry in shock. As friends, family and actors from the film industry pay their respects, actress Suhasini revealed poignant information about the veteran’s final moments. Speaking to the press after paying his respects, he recalled meeting Bhagyaraj a few days before his death and said nothing seemed out of the ordinary. His heartfelt words add another emotional chapter to the farewell of the celebrated filmmaker, affectionately known as the ‘King of the script’.

Suhasini on Bhagyaraj’s last moments

Suhasini revealed that Bhagyaraj had attended Khushbu’s daughter’s wedding in Goa with her family just two days before her death. “Mr Bhagyaraj left for Chennai the same night. We came back only yesterday evening, and none of us imagined something like this would happen,” he said. Recalling his last morning, he added, “He even went for his usual morning walk. After returning home, he said he had chest pain and the family immediately rushed him to Apollo Hospital.“She also fondly remembered him, saying, ‘Until the end, he was a man who made everyone smile. He is no longer with us and I wish his soul rest in peace.”

Bhagyaraj’s journey to cinema will remain one of the greatest success stories in the film industry. Bhagyaraj was born on 7 January 1953 in Vellangovil, Coimbatore. He started his career as an assistant director working for G. Ramakrishnan and then with Bharathiraja. After recognizing his exceptional writing skills, Bharathiraja launched him into films by giving him a role in ’16 Vayathinile’. Later, he worked in films like ‘Kizhakke Pogum Rail’ and ‘Sigappu Rojakkal’, but shot to fame when he starred in ‘Puthiya Vaarpugal’ in 1979.
