Days after facing backlash for skipping his weekend concert for FIFA’s opening ceremony, Rod Stewart he took the stage again for one of his last concerts. However, according to the latest reports shared online, the famous singer ended up almost fainting in front of everyone and had to stop the event to recover.

According to recently published TMZ reports, the singer had taken the stage for his fans at the Utah First Credit Union Amphitheater in West Valley City. In the middle of his performance, however, he was forced to take a break and stop the event. Stewart was noted to appear in pain while performing and even had to go backstage to be given oxygen halfway through the show.Videos from the post were also shared online, showing the singer bending over as staff rushed to get him an oxygen tank. For the rest of the concert, Stewart sat in a chair on stage and performed his songs in the same manner. While on stage, he also made some jokes about his health with fans and about taking a break from the concert.

He said in a statement that doctors had ordered him to rest more and that he would reschedule the shows. I’ll be back on stage and see you soon – Sir Rod (heartbreaking emoji).”Also, just a few days ago, Stewart was scheduled to perform on June 12; however, just a few hours before the concert, when fans had begun to gather at the venue, he announced that he would not be able to perform. A statement on social media from his team read, “On the advice of his doctors and following a diagnosis of an acute respiratory infection that has caused laryngitis, he is unable to take the stage this evening.“Hours later, fans were left furious after he posted a video from a private jet alongside his two sons, talking about how he would never miss the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup and watching his favorite team on the pitch. Many fans and netizens called him out for his inconsiderate behavior. Many questioned whether he was really sick enough to cancel a concert, but he did not cancel his visit to the FIFA stadium.
