Tamil romantic drama ‘Chennai Love Story’ continues its run in theatres. After a good start at the box office, the film experienced another dip on the first Tuesday and registered its lowest daily collection till date. Even with the weekdays slowing down, the film is keeping a steady march on the big screens.
‘Chennai Love Story’ Day 5 Numbers
According to Sacnilk, the film collected around Rs 2.80 crore nett in India on Day 5, which was a 15.2% decline from its Rs 3.30 crore nett collection on Monday. The film was shown in 1,801 shows on Tuesday. With the latest earnings, its total India net collection has reached Rs 23.30 crore, while its India gross collection stands at Rs 26.73 crore.In overseas markets, the film added Rs 50 lakhs gross on day 5, taking its international total to Rs 6 crore gross. As a result, the film’s worldwide gross has risen to Rs 32.73 crore.
Telugu Version Collections
The Telugu version registered an overall occupancy of 38.20% on Tuesday. Night shows witnessed the strongest response with 44.85% occupancy, followed by afternoon shows at 38.92%. Morning shows recorded 17.62%, while evening shows recorded 30.31% occupancy.Andhra Pradesh and Telangana continued to be the top contributors on Day 5 with a gross of Rs 2.75 crore. Karnataka followed with Rs 35 lakhs, while Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 3 lakhs. Rest of India added Rs 6 lakh, taking the film’s Day 4 Indian gross to Rs 3.19 crore.
