The Telangana Council of Higher Education (TGCHE) has started the online admission process for Phase 1 of TS LAWCET 2026 counseling from July 28, 2026. Candidates who have completed the registration and certificate verification can now submit their preferred colleges through the official TGCHE portal.Online selection is an important part of the admission of candidates to three-year LLB and five-year integrated LLB programs offered by participating institutions in Telangana. Only candidates whose certificates have been successfully verified are eligible to use the online process during Phase 1 counselling.Phase 1 counseling processAccording to the official notification process, candidates can submit their selections online from July 28 to July 31, 2026. A facility to edit submitted choices will be available on August 1, allowing registrants to change their preferences before the choices are canceled.The interim seat allotment results for Phase 1 are scheduled to be released on August 5. Candidates who have been allocated seats will have to report to the allotted colleges and complete the admission process, including document verification, between August 6 and August 8.How to submit online optionsEligible candidates can complete the online options by visiting the official website of TGCHE and selecting the “Web Options” link. Applicants must login using their TS LAWCET 2026 ID, date of birth and rank.Once logged in, candidates can view a list of participating colleges and organize institutions based on their interests. Once options are selected, candidates can save or send the options. Applicants are advised to verify all selections carefully before final submission.Important tips for candidatesTGCHE has not set an upper limit on the number of colleges that candidates can choose from during the online selection process. Applicants are encouraged to select as many eligible colleges as possible to increase their chances of getting a seat at the time of allotment.Candidates are also advised to complete the application form using a computer or laptop instead of a mobile phone to minimize technical or interface issues in submitting their preferences.Seats available through counsellingThe TS LAWCET 2026 counseling will facilitate the admission of about 6,480 seats in the three-year LLB program and 3,120 seats in the combined five-year LLB program offered by participating law colleges in the state.Allotment of seats will be done on the basis of TS LAWCET rank, category, reservation process, eligibility and college preference system given during online registration.
