Nathan Fillion Talks How He Used ‘The Rookie’ To His Advantage
On Monday, July 27, while attending San Diego Comic Con along with his cast mates, Nathan Fillion opened up about his encounter with the police and how he used his fame from the show to get out of a speeding ticket. He added: “I got pulled over once and the officer looked at my ID and said, ‘I recognize you’re an actor.’I said, “Yeah…actually, I’m pretty good.”However, he ended up confusing Fillion with Jason Bateman, who is best known for his work on ‘Arrested Development’ and ‘Ozark’. Fillion added: “He said, ‘If you give my wife an autograph, I’ll let you off with a warning.’ I said, “Great.” He gave me his phone. I asked, “What’s your wife’s name?” He said, “Lily.” So I wrote, “To Lily…” Then I heard him say, “Hey honey, I’m signing your autograph, it’s Jason Bateman.”The actor then went ahead and shared that he couldn’t correct the officer and went ahead with it. “And I signed it… ‘All my love, Jason Bateman,'” she said, making everyone laugh at the hilarious interaction. Fillion previously shared the story in 2021 while appearing on “The Kelly Clarkson Show” as a guest.
