A new chapter is about to begin in actress Madhoo’s personal life. The veteran star has revealed that her eldest daughter will soon be getting married, making her a mother-in-law in the near future. Sharing the happy update, Madhoo said that the wedding celebrations have taken over the family’s attention, with their daughter completely immersed in the preparations for the big day.Speaking to IANS, the actress opened up about her daughters’ career choices and family life, while recalling how one of her most memorable films unexpectedly led her to her husband. Talking about his daughter, Madhoo said, “My elder is getting married soon. So, right now, I’m sure he’s not thinking about work. She’s in La La land.”
Younger daughter chooses business over acting
Madhoo also spoke about his younger daughter, who once considered a career in films before deciding that acting wasn’t her true calling. Instead, he has shifted his focus to business and is currently gaining hands-on experience with his father.Sharing the update, the actress said, “She wanted to follow in my footsteps. She wanted to be an actor. She explored a little bit but decided it wasn’t for her. So now she’s back in the business world. She’s interning with her dad. She plans to do other things.”
A marriage that started with ‘Diljale’
During the conversation, Madhoo also reflected on an unexpected twist in her own love story, revealing that one of her films played a key role in bringing her and husband Anand Shah together.Recalling the memorable incident, she shared, “This is a role that was won for me by my husband. My husband saw this movie in Singapore, I think, and he thought, ‘Who is this girl? She’s amazing.’ The next thing I know, I’m married to this man.”According to the actress, Anand Shah first noticed her after watching ‘Diljale’, and that admiration eventually turned into a lifelong relationship.

Madhoo married businessman Anand Shah on 19 February 1999. The couple have two daughters, Amaya and Keia. Anand Shah is also the cousin of businessman Jay Mehta, who is married to actress Juhi Chawla. While Madhoo continues to balance his professional commitments, he is now looking forward to celebrating a new chapter as his family prepares for his elder daughter’s wedding.
