Avore Electric, the Gujarat-based electric vehicle startup, has entered the Indian electric motorcycle segment with the launch of its first product range, the EX series. The new range includes three models: EX1, EX2 and EX2S, with introductory prices starting at Rs 1.24 lakh, ex-showroom. The launch offer is valid for the first 10,000 customers, after which the starting price will increase to Rs 1.34 lakh. Pre-orders have also started at Rs 799 and shipping is expected to start in around two months.The entry-level EX1 is priced at Rs 1.24 lakh and uses a 3.24 kWh battery pack with a claimed IDC range of 160 km. It is said to have a top speed of 100 km/h and accelerate from 0-40 km/h in just 3.2 seconds. It comes with a 7-inch segmented display, LED lighting, four riding modes, onboard charger, and connectivity features like 4G, Bluetooth, GPS, and Wi-Fi. The battery comes with a five-year warranty.Priced at Rs 1.49 lakh, the EX2 comes with a larger 5 kWh battery, which reportedly increases the range to 255 km. Top speed remains at 100 km/h. It comes with a 7-inch digital display, LED headlight, four riding modes and an onboard charger that can charge the battery from 20% to 80% in about two hours. Like the EX1, it also comes with 4G connectivity, Bluetooth, GPS, Wi-Fi, CBS with disc brakes and a five-year battery warranty.The flagship EX2S is priced at Rs 1.69 lakh and offers the strongest performance in the series. It uses the same 5 kWh battery but has a claimed IDC range of 260 kilometers. Top speed increases to 114 km/h. The company claims a 0-40 km/h time of 2.8 seconds. It also comes with a 7-inch display with AI capabilities, six riding modes and the same two-hour 20-80% charging time using an on-board charger.Across the range, Avore introduces a number of technologies, including an integrated motor and swing arm unit, a 1,500W onboard charger that works with standard household sockets, and a rare earth-free permanent magnet synchronous motor. The company claims the EX2S and EX2 produce up to 10.5 kW of peak power, while all three variants produce 250 Nm of peak wheel torque.The motorcycles also feature proprietary software and connectivity technologies such as the AVORE SENSE operating system, AVA vehicle assistance system, an artificial intelligence companion called Avore Synapse, manual transmission mode, parking assist system and a variety of convenience features including automatic indicator cut-off and home light.
