‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ wasted no time launching its new season after the San Diego Comic-Con panel on Friday. After the jaw-dropping cliffhanger, the new chapters look to see the transformation of post-apocalyptic Manhattan, along with Maggie and Dean’s arc from enemies to allies. In addition, one of the most exciting castings was announced during his appearance at the prestigious festival.

The official synopsis for Season 3 reads: “Maggie and Negan finally put their differences aside to build the first thriving community in Manhattan since the apocalypse. As chaos begins to erupt in the city, they are forced to ask themselves: have they learned from their old wounds, or will their dark past spell doom for the entire city?”The episodes are scheduled to premiere in the United States of America; the global release is not mentioned yet. Following the timeline, the first episode aired on July 26, 2026 on AMC and AMC+. With weekly releases, the finale will conclude on September 13, 2026, with eight episodes. ‘The Walking Dead: Dead City’ Season 3: Emily Kinney Appears

Emily Kinney is set to appear in a Season 3 episode based in an “alternate universe.” Her character, who died after being shot in the head in the original series, will make a poignant return alongside her on-screen sister, Lauren Cohan. The show’s other cast members include Logan Kim, Jimmi Simpson, Raúl Castillo, Aimee Garcia and Michael Emery.
