Ram Charan has undergone a successful surgery for his wrist injury in Coimbatore on Sunday. The actor’s injury worsened during the shooting of his latest release ‘Peddi’, which is a sports action drama. According to the latest updates, the surgery was successful and the actor is now recovering well.

Earlier this morning Ram Charan was seen arriving in Coimbatore for the procedure. According to a report in India Today, the ‘RRR’ star was accompanied by his father Chiranjeevi, mother Surekha and wife Upasana Konidela. The family stayed with him throughout his treatment and recovery.

The report also suggests that Dr. S. Rajasekaran, Chairman, Ganga Hospital conducted the surgery. Because the injury was complex, internationally renowned hand and wrist specialist Dr. Alejandro Badia of Miami was also added to the medical team.The operation was carried out by Dr. S. Rajasekaran, Dr. Alejandro Badia, Dr. Praveen Bharadwaj and his team of specialists. The doctors confirmed that the procedure went smoothly and Ram Charan is recovering well after the surgery.According to the hospital statement, Ram Charan has been advised to take complete rest and follow a structured rehabilitation program before returning to work.Doctors have recommended that he stay away from professional engagements for a few weeks. He will resume shooting only after receiving medical clearance.

Meanwhile, Ram Charan will work with ‘Pushpa’ fame director Sukumar in the film tentatively titled, ‘RC17’. The film is Ram Charan’s second project with Sukumar after they worked in the 2019 film ‘Rangasthalam’ which turned out to be a huge hit. It is imperative to mention that Sukumar was a key figure in the making of ‘Peddi’.
