R Madhavan has often spoken about the challenges of staying relevant in the film industry, and an old interview of the actor has once again caught the attention of fans online. In the conversation, Madhavan revealed that if there’s one actor whose career he hopes to emulate, it’s him Amitabh Bachchan. According to him, the legendary actor’s ability to evolve with time and remain a force Indian cinema decades after his debut is something he deeply admires.Speaking to Film Companion, Madhavan explained that lasting success in the entertainment industry is much more valuable than temporary fame.“No disrespect to anyone, but there’s a gentleman that I can’t imagine what he’s like and I want to be like him, because he’s as relevant today as he was when he started his career,” he said. He further added, “I think that’s the biggest blessing you can ask for in this industry, because the fall from grace is the biggest question you have to face.”
Amitabh Bachchan’s career is a project
Madhavan praised Amitabh Bachchan for continuously reinventing himself while taking on roles that suit his age. He believes the veteran actor has managed to stay on top without compromising his identity or dignity. “The skill with which he has managed to play age-appropriate roles, the fact that he is still giving young actors a run for their money, has maintained his dignity and style. He is a man who inspires me greatly,” she said.Expressing his admiration, Madhavan added, “I am not inclined to fall at people’s feet ever, except my parents. But I would with all my heart touch his feet because I really want to be a fraction of what he can be.”

I have all the elements of a celebrity with me, and they have a sense of pride and dignity that they live with. My dad would never want to skip a line at the airport because he’s my dad. He’ll never think he can. I can’t buy him a car. My mother won’t take jewelry. They are very happy and content,” he said.Reflecting on the life lessons he has learned from them, Madhavan concluded, “If at this age I am able to live with this level of satisfaction, I would consider myself a great success.”
