Benjamin Géza Affleck-Boldt was born on August 15, 1972 in Berkeley, California; however, he moved to Massachusetts when he was three along with his relatives. His mother, Chris Anne Affleck, who died recently, was a Harvard graduate, public school teacher and civil rights activist. His father, Timothy Affleck, was a playwright and actor who later got sober and became an addictions counselor.
